DESTINATION WEDDING // The Elandra Mission Beach

Traveling is always a privilege and being able to see so many beautiful parts of the world is a blessing. It's often taken for granted what beauty we have in our own back yard in Australia and that was glaringly evident as we drove through the wet tropic region of Far North Queensland en route to The Elandra Mission Beach.

Lush tropical rainforest loomed large on the approach and as the gates appeared I knew that this place was very special. 'Where safari meets the sea' loosely describes the style of The Elandra however amazing pieces hand picked from across the globe take inspiration from Africa, India and Asia against a backdrop of pure white.

No detail has been left to chance and it is evident that this bespoke experience, both in style and personality, is what The Elandra is all about. Available only for exclusive bookings, the resort is the perfect wedding backdrop, the most inspiring conference setting and the ultimate getaway with friends.

Perched on fifteen acres, the view is perfection from the pool deck with rainforest rolling down to the resort's private beach - Lovers Beach - and across to Dunk Island. There is also access to Lugger bay, a gorgeous driftwood strewn beach that is almost completely deserted. Sunset and sunrise, I have no words for, breathtaking at minimum.

The Elandra team have been hand picked and are truly wonderful. The food was a gastronomic experience, cocktails were fabulous and service was impeccable. Once you arrive you really have no reason to leave - I know I didn't want to!

Below are just a few stunning pictures taken during my stay and I have to point out what you see is exactly as it is!
